Desjardin Throws Shutout Williamson drives in Four Runs as Windham Blanks Manchester West
Anna Desjardin didn't allow a single run as the Windham Jaguars defeated Manchester West 13-0 on Thursday. Desjardin allowed just two hits and induced a fly out from Brianna Emery to end the game while Jenna Williamson hit a three run homer and four RBI on the day.
Windham took the lead in the first inning on a single by Rachel Estes.
Windham scored three runs in the sixth inning on four hit from Estes (leadoff double), Alyssa Upton, and Sam Mague and Alexis Nakitis.
One bright spot for Manchester West was a single by Paige McNamara in the third inning. Desjardin earned her first Varsity win for the Jaguars. She threw six innings, allowing zero runs, two hits, striking out three, and walking zero.
Windham had 17 hits in the game with Upton, Mague, Courtney Costa, Williamson, Jordan Hillyer, Rachel Estes, and Nakitis each collected multiple hits for Windham Jaguars Varsity.
